Axzona Ltd was setup in the summer of 2000 to provide solutions to help manage the performance and availability of websites and web services.

Our products help you to maximise your investment in website design and hosting by ensuring that the site is available 24 x 7 x 365. It also helps maintain your brand credibility by ensuring that website managers are the first to be alerted to any problems such as web server failure or slow response so that they can start fixing them before visitors are significantly affected.

Most importantly, our tools and solutions give our customers detailed and objective information on availability and performance by monitoring from multiple external locations and/or internally, via passive network monitoring technology, thereby offering reliable, third party verification of website performance and availability. This helps inform decisions about future development, hosting and investment.

Management

Alan Hughes - Director

Alan's background is in software analysis, design and development. He has worked for a variety of consulting organisations in sectors such as Finance, Insurance, Legal as well as Commercial organisations. Immediately prior to co-founding Axzona, Alan worked as Technical Director of a successful online recruitment company where Alan and his team had sole responsibility for ensuring maximum availability & performance as well as the ongoing development of the site. The company was sold to US rival, Monster Inc., in the spring of 2000.


Sheila McCall - Director

Sheila McCall is a Director and co-founder of Axzona Ltd. Previously Sheila worked as a consultant for a multi-national financial software company. She specialises in the development and design of high performance relational database systems and has previously worked on large scale data mining projects for a major UK bank as well as high profile development projects for a leading European IT consultancy.

IT Sales Executive

Axzona Ltd, the UK's leading Website monitoring company, is seeking a highly motivated, goal-orientated, professional internet telesales person to join our Edinburgh based sales team.

You will work from our head office in Edinburgh, where you will be presenting our internet monitoring and performance management solutions to decision makers using a combination of research, e-mails, phone calls and face to face meetings. The right candidate will be required to promote the company's services in the UK and must be able to develop and manage sales opportunities as well as direct sales cycles to closure.

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have minimum 2-3 years B2B sales experience - preferably selling hardware, software or internet services.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, goal-orientated and highly professional.
  • Must be computer literate and have basic competency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication with strong presentation, preparation and delivery skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and respond to demands in a fast-paced, highly technical environment required.
  • Ability to develop a rapport and relationship with people required.

Basic salary from £20,000 plus generous commission (Realistic OTE £40K - £50K with uncapped earnings).
